This new tour brings together the main highlights of Costa Rica staying in very comfortable accommodation. After the long flight relax in the temperate Central Valley at the gorgeous Finca Rosa Blanca. From here travel to the Pacific Coast and the lowland rainforest of Tortuguero National Park with its diverse flora and fauna. Explore the town of La Fortuna overlooked by Arenal volcano and the cloudforest of the Monteverde reserve. End your Costa Rica exploration by the beach near Manuel Antonio National Park. We can easily extend your tour at the beach or add on a trip to the remote and secluded Osa Peninsula.

UK - San Jose
Depart the UK for your flight to San Jose, the capital of this small Central American country. On arrival you will be met and taken to Finca Rosa Blanca, a boutique eco-resort located in the lush Central Valley. The 15 individual rooms are all beautifully decorated and feature Jacuzzi baths.

Central Valley
Free day to relax or take an optional tour. Finca Rosa Blanca is set within a working coffee plantation and is ideal to learn more about the coffee making process. You may also wish to visit some of the nearby national parks such as Poas Volcano National Park. Although active it is still safe for viewing and features one of the world's largest geysers.

Central Valley - Tortuguero National Park
Travel towards the Pacific Coast to reach the largest area of tropical wet forest in Costa Rica, Tortuguero National Park. The coastal canals that make up the this park, to connect the local indigenous communties, were only built in the 1960's. Now these canals provide an easy way to explore this beautiful park.
Manatus Lodge has only 12 rooms and set by the canal with a lovely restaurant where you can enjoy Caribbean fusion cuisine.

Tortuguero National Park
Full day to explore the national park. Tortuguero is one of the country's most diverse national parks and home to over half the bird and reptile species in the country. Explore by boat, take a walk through the forest or kayaking on the canals. At certain times of year (June - October) green turtles can be seen laying their eggs on the beach and the hatchlings will be visible up until November time.

Tortuguero National Park - Arenal
Travel by boat and road to the Arenal area in the Central Highlands. Stay at the small, stylish boutique Arenal Nayara with it's fantastic views of the volcano. Each of the 50 casitas are set within secluded gardens and feature an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi on your own private terrace.

Free day to explore the area. One of the most popular local tours is a volcano trek where it may be possible to view the lava flows and eruptions. Most of the tours leave at dusk for the best viewing. Arenal volcano was dormant until 1968 when a massive eruption devastated the western flank of the volcano killing 78 people. Since this date the volcano has been continuously active.
Other excursion options include - hot springs, La Fortuna Waterfalls, whitewater rafting and cave tours.

Arenal - Monteverde
Transfer by bumpy road and lake crossing to the town of Monteverde and it's reserve which was only founded in the 1970's. It is now one of Costa Rica's premier nature destinations. Hidden Canopy Treehouse where you can hideaway in your own treehouse and immerse yourself in the lush green cloud forest and the magical sounds of nature.

Free day in Monteverde. One of the most popular attractions is the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve which covers 10,500 hectare area straddling the continental divide. This primary cloud forest is almost permanently shrouded in mist. With over 400 species of birds you have the opportunity to spot the resplendent quetzal along with over 100 species of mammals, including monkeys, Baird's Tapir, along with many reptiles and amphibians.

Monteverde - Manuel Antonio National Park
Transfer by road to Arenas del Mar - a beach and nature resort adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific Coast. The hotel has only 38 rooms and suites which either overlook the ocean or the rainforest and the restaurant overlooks Espadilla beach.

Days at leisure to enjoy this beautiful area. Visit the national park and take in the wildlife and beauty of the area. Alternatively relax at the hotel and enjoy the spectacular views and the sights and sounds of the rainforest from your private deck. The hotel also features Las Brisas spa which a selection of relaxing and natural selection treatments.

Manuel Antoinio National Park - San Jose - UK
Private transfer to San Jose airport for your return flight to the UK. You may have to add an extra night in the city of San Jose depending on your international departure time.
