Nkhotakota (meaning corner, corner) is on the shore of Lake Malawi east of the region near the lake. It is one of 2 large game areas, difficult to access as the roads are not as accessible as most other parks. This makes it a true wilderness area, perfect for those that enjoy walking, climbing and fishing. The birdlife is prolific and Nkhotakota is home to Giant Kingfisher and Palm Nut Vultures as well as 130 other recorded species.
