One of the largest Parks in Malawi, roughly 1250 sq miles Nyika Plateau is situated in the North of Malawi with the border of Zambia. The meaning of Nyika is 'where the water comes from' and is in fact one of the catchment areas of Malawi.

The Nyika Platea is home to a high concentration of antelope, ranging from the Duiker to Eland, a healthy population of Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo, not to mention over 400 species of bird including the rare Denham's Bustard and Wattled Crane, and over 200 different species of Orchid flowering in the rainy season!

Activities here range from trekking, hiking and walking as well as mountain biking.
