An incredible journey into Uganda - this set departure includes return domestic flights to Bwindi/Queen Elizabeth National Park allowing you maximum time in wonderful national parks, where you can enjoy your Uganda wildlife experience.
Highlights in this itinerary include searching for the awe- inspiring Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest; Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park; multiple game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park with its diverse wildlife, including the famed tree-climbing Lions of Ishasha and visiting the Uganda kob mating grounds in that sector of the park.
Uganda delivers some of the best birdwatching opportunities in Africa, with over 1,000 different taxa on the species list. Star attractions include and extraordinary, monotypic Shoebill and the beautiful Ross's turacou which has been known to nest in the grounds of Buhoma Lodge.
Enjoy comfortable and highly rated accommodation, excellent professional driver-guides and custom- made 4WD safari vehicles.
Two gorilla tracking opportunities are available with this itinerary, subject to permit availability.
We recommend making your request at the time of booking so that Uganda gorilla permits can be secured promptly to avoid disappointment.

Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Entebbe
On arrival into Entebbe off your international flight from London Heathrow or selected other UK airports, you will be met and transferred to Best Western Premier Garden Hotel for an overnight stay, breakfast included.
*** We have quoted based on KLM in economy class seating from London to Entebbe return. Should you prefer to check other carriers for lower fares, do let us know.
Day 2 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Transfer to Entebbe airport for your morning light aircraft flight To Kihihi airstrip. On arrival you will be met and transferred by road about an hour to Bwindi First National Park, for a 2 night stay at Buhoma Lodge, all meals and drinks included.
The afternoon you will have the opportunity for a forest walk or village walk. Birding is especially fantastic in this rainforest, with sought after specials including the lovely Ross's turacou, which has nested in the grounds of this lodge before. A short walk along the level dirt road from the lodge to the national park can deliver an astonishing variety of bird sightings in rapid succession.
Day 3 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning rise and briefing for the departure of your Gorilla tracking excursion, which can take 2-8 hours depending on the habituated family group you select to visit and the duration it takes to find them.
Much deserved quiet time this afternoon or enjoy an optional walks around the forest.

Day 4 Bwindi to Ishasha, Queen Elizabeth National Park
You have the option today for a second gorilla tracking experience this morning, or you might prefer a guided nature walk in the national park. (It is an exceptionally rewarding place for birding and small forest wildlife).
After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park's Ishasha Sector to stay 2 nights in the lovely Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp, with all meals and drinks included.
The scenic drive takes about 2hrs,30 minutes.
Day 5 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy game drives in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, with sundowners later on in the afternoon.

Day 6 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning game drive as you transfer to the Mweya Peninsula and an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, an area renowned for its aquatic wildlife - expect to see plenty of Hippopotami, large Nile crocs and various ungulates coming to drink at the channel. As can be expected in any of the country's parks, the birdlife here is phenomenal.
Day ends at Elephant Plains Lodge or similar for a 2 night stay with all meals included.
Day 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning chimp tracking at Kyamburu Gorge. This steep, forested gorge is on the north-east boundary of the park and its dense vegetation harbours Chimpanzees and other forest wildlife. Do note that the chimps move seasonally depending on the supply of ripe wild figs. (If this excursion is not done, we will arrange a game drive instead).
Afternoon game drive in the Mweya sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 8 Queen Elizabeth National Park - Entebbe (flight) and departure
Enjoy a final morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Return light aircraft transfer in the afternoon to Entebbe where you will be met on arrival and assisted with checking in for your evening flight out.

*** Vehicles are very comfortable and sturdy: 4-wheel drive land-cruisers with game- viewing hatches; fridges or cool boxes; inverters for charging, and comfortable seating with plenty of leg-room. The vehicles are maintained in our Ugandan partners' own, fully-equipped workshops. All vehicles are fully insured and carry all the necessary tools, first aid kits, safari reference books and proper communications.
