Go on safari in the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara, staying in romantic, luxury tented accommodation where you dine under the stars. Enjoy a catalogue of thrilling wildlife sightings in one of the world's greatest wildlife hotspots. Then head off to the secluded beaches of northern Mozambique where you can do as little or as much as you please. If the fancy takes you, explore the historic Ilha de Mozambique, book in for some diving or snorkelling, try the delicious fresh seafood and enjoy memorable walks along the unspoilt beach. All meals are included while on safari and at the beach, and as both Kicheche Valley Camp and Coral Lodge are first class properties, this makes for an unforgettable combination holiday.

Itinerary

Depart from London Heathrow on direct overnight flight to Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Nairobi.
On arrival early this morning you will be met and transferred to Wilson Airport for short 45 minute light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. From here you'll be transferred to camp for a 4-night stay in a safari tent with private en suit facilities, with hot safari shower and flushing loo. All meals and local drinks are included, as well as unlimited game drives in the Mara North Conservancy which borders the Masai Mara Game Reserve, bush walks, laundry and conservancy fees. Lunch is served in camp and you will have time to settle in and relax until your afternoon game drive. Return at sunset for a hot shower and dinner under the stars. Days on safari typically follow a similar pattern with an early morning wake up call and tea or coffee served in your tent. You then set off at dawn for a game drive on the Mara plains. You may have a picnic breakfast out in the bush and spend more time game viewing or return to camp for a leisurely breakfast. Lunch is served in camp under the trees and there's time for a nap or to relax in camp - hammocks are slung between trees which are a lovely way to pass an hour or two. In the late afternoon everyone gathers for tea and cake before heading out on an afternoon game drive when the animals become active again. You return at sunset and then spend the evening around the campfire. Escorted game walks of about 2 hours are offered instead of an early morning game drive, which give you the opportunity to enjoy the smaller fauna and flora that is often missed from the vehicle. There will also be the chance for an afternoon visit to a nearby Masai Manyatta.
Take in the world renowned Masai Mara ecosystem, during game drives in the Naboisho Conservancy. There's an abundance of wildlife about, and keen birders will be in their element too.
Notch up more memorable wildlife sightings during game-related activities in the wonderful Masai Mara, under expert care of experienced, personable professional guides.
Make the most of your final day in the Masai Mara, chalking up more thrilling sightings during game-related activities.
Return flight to Nairobi for road transfer to the House of Waine to stay one night with breakfast included.
Transfer to Nairobi International Airport for morning flight to Mozambique. On arrival midday, it is a 45 minute road transfer to Coral Lodge for a seven night stay in a villa inclusive of all meals, house wines, soft drinks, local beers and spirits, bottled water, teas and coffees, all non motorised activities like fishing, sunset down cruise, windsurfing, use of snorkelling gear, canoeing and other non motorized activity equipment, a guided tour of Ilha de Mozambique per stay and a dedicated Mozambican host service. This modern African style beach resort is near the Unesco World Heritage City of Ilha de Mozambique, and is set on top of dunes with lovely sea views, that make the most of the ocean breezes. There is a good choice of activities and meals are tasty and frequently include delicious freshly caught fish.
Staying at   Coral Lodge
Enjoy first class hospitality in the remote and beautiful coastal surrounds where Coral Lodge is located. On a spectacular peninsula within an unspoilt nature reserve, the lodge is just minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ilha de Moçambique. The lodge offer a blend of contemporary design combined with the utmost respect for the fragile natural surroundings. The lucky guests who have stayed here, rave about the friendly service, wonderful food (and generous portions), high level of comfort and the activities on offer.
Rest and relaxation time at remote and lovely Coral Lodge, where you can disconnect from civilization, enjoy nature, soak up the tropical sun; explore the vibrant underwater world; go kayaking (a favourite with guests) and in season, perhaps check out migrating Whales. Guests can visit Cabeceira village, from where most of the lodge staff are employed. During your stay you can also take in some memorable sunsets, for which the staff can take you to scenic locations.
Return to the airport for the lunch time flight to Nairobi, arriving late afternoon, in time to check in for the return, overnight flight to London Heathrow. Arrive early the following morning.
