Discover the beauty of Botswana on this eight-night holiday combining three of Africa's most iconic safari destinations - Makgadikgadi, Moremi and Chobe.

Botswana is a wildlife enthusiast’s dream destination. This itinerary takes you to three of Botswana’s essential safari destinations, your light aircraft flights transporting you with cheerful guides on hand to welcome you at every arrival. Our carefully selected choice of accommodation promises a genuine and peaceful safari experience with complete privacy and comfort.

The green season is becoming a popular time to travel to Botswana and experience a slightly unpredictable but more exciting safari. It's perfect for photographers and bird watchers to visit the lush green bush, as many migrant bird species make their way to the Delta. As there's an abundance of food and water, the green season is also known as the 'baby boom season' with it being the best time to see the emerging tiny warthogs, infant zebra and baby impala.

Once you arrive in Maun, via Johannesburg, you transfer to Leroo La Tau, located along the western border of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Perched on top of cliffs overlooking the Boteti River and Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, this stunning location rewards you with unsurpassed views of the spectacular scenery and wildlife.

The Boteti River, also known as 'The Returning River', has been flowing since 2008 after two decades of drought with it now a vital water source for the migrating herds of zebra and wildebeest. Look out for the wildlife collecting around the riverfront, including vultures, hippos, ostriches, giraffes and zebras, in a 4×4 vehicle or motorboat.

Fly to the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta region for your two-night stay at Camp Moremi. There are 12 classic thatched tents gazing upon the Moremi Reserve from your private viewing deck, shaded by the towering trees above. Located in the heart of the game reserve, along the banks of Khwai River, you can enjoy action packed year-round game viewing on both land and water.

Boasting one of the most diverse ecosystems rich with wildlife, your game activities will be filled with herds of elephant, buffalo and wildebeest alongside the predators of lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.

For your last safari destination, fly to Chobe National Park and transfer across the Namibian border to Chobe Game Lodge, which is situated on the eastern Caprivi. Here, you'll overlook vast flood plains of the Chobe National Park. The Chobe River is home to herds of buffalo, elephant and hippo. With just 12 thatched chalets, enjoy a more exclusive and intimate experience of the Chobe River.

Itinerary

Depart on your international flight to Johannesburg that'll connect to Maun.

On arrival into Johannesburg, check in for the onward flight to Maun. Here, you'll be met by a local representative and transferred by light aircraft for the flight to Leroo La Tau.

After your friendly welcome, relax into the exclusive lodge and your comfortable room, the calming interiors blending harmoniously with the colours and textures of the surrounding area. Spend your first evening on your private wooden deck, viewing the comings and goings of the local wildlife and birds.

Your stay at Leroo La Tau includes two safari options.

Choose from morning or afternoon game viewing by boat (depending on water levels) or 4WD vehicles. Your expert, knowledgeable guides will be keen to fill your time in the reserve with wildlife sightings. During the rainy season (Jan—Mar), you may be lucky to witness the zebra migration that happens here annually.

Experience the culture with a visit to Khumaga Village or take a guided nature walk in the area surrounding the lodge. The lodge also boasts a game viewing hide built into the banks of the river, offering stunning panoramic views and excellent photograph opportunities.

Enjoy a drink in the evening around the campfire overlooking the river, listening and identifying the noises coming from the African bush - a true Botswana wildlife experience.

Staying at   Leroo La Tau

After breakfast, you'll be transferred for a light aircraft flight to Moremi, where you'll be transferred to Camp Moremi - your accommodation for the next two nights.

Camp Moremi consists of 12 modern thatched safari tents all with views over the Moremi Game Reserve.

Staying at   Camp Moremi

Enjoy the abundance of wildlife waiting to be spotted in one of the most magnificent animal sanctuaries of Africa, with your two safari activities.

Enjoy game drives in the morning or afternoon in an open-top 4×4 vehicle or take to the water to track the big game of the park in traditional mokoros and powerboats.

Staying at   Camp Moremi

Today, you'll be transferred by light aircraft to Chobe Game Reserve for your two-night stay at Chobe Game Lodge. Here, water activities are at the top of your list. Head out in a specialist boat on safari.

Chobe Game Reserve has the highest concentration of elephant in Africa. You'll also see hippo and buffalo but also antelope such as puku - which are specially adapted to survive in water.

Enjoy your last day in Chobe - so head out on a peaceful sunset cruise!

The lodge’s boardwalk is also famous, running along the river’s edge and allowing for some of the best game viewing in Botswana. Relax on the sophisticated deck with sundowners from one of the lodge’s two bars before settling down on the dining terrace for dinner.

The hotel’s other facilities include a pool, gym, massage room, library and curio shop. It's stylish and luxurious throughout, and fully ecotourism-certified.

Staying at   Chobe Game Lodge
Today, you'll be checked out and transferred to the airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Here, you'll change and check in for your flight back to the UK.
