This lovely property has been much enjoyed by our guests since its inception.  12 luxury, tented rooms are designed to provide guests with a sense of privacy and tranquility. Each room has its  own special charm and character, whether it is nestled in thick bush, or overlooking the lake, or perched on a rocky outcrop - or down  by the water hole. Although no two rooms are alike, the proprietors have ensured that all share stunning views and provide guests with a light, airy sanctuary - a feeling of being alone in the African bush.

Each spacious canvas tent is equipped with en-suite bathroom, hot and cold running water, showers, and flush loos. The rooms have been sensitively designed to complement the local environment with great attention to detail.  The doorways are framed with attractive pieces of dead wood found on the property. The outside walls reflect the colours of the African soil, created with the help of a specialist from Lamu who
mixed natural coloured pigments into the cement. Several of the rooms dramatically incorporate the granite boulders into the design of the bathrooms.

'Bush Buck' and 'Impala' have their own salt lick allowing guests to sit on their balcony and watch animals come and go. 'Buffalo' and 'Water Hole' rooms are situated down on the grassy plain, near the water. They are the furthest rooms from the lodge but they are very private and closer to the animals.

The lodge offers early morning tea or coffee brought to guests' rooms so they can take in the surrounding nature sitting on  the spacious veranda before going for breakfast, a game drive or any of the other activities on offer.

Facilities
Below the thatched dining area, there is an attractive infinity pool that stretches out from the rocks towards the horizon. From the dining area and pool, guests can enjoy the view over the valley and watch wildlife gathering at the waterhole.

Activities offered at the park include boat trips on Lake Mburo, woodland and savannah walks, as well as day and night game drives.

Enviromental and social responsibility

Considerable effort has been made to ensure the lodge is environmentally friendly; electricity, hot water, and water pumps are all powered by solar energy and there is a natural water catchment system to take advantage of the rains.

Most employees are from the surrounding communities, and have received extensive training in hospitality services to ensure that guests have a very special and memorable safari experience.
