Itinerary

Overnight flight from the UK to Maun, Botswana
On your arrival today you will travel by charter aircraft from Maun to the breathtaking Chobe National Park where Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge is situated. This dynamic wilderness offers a sweeping expanse of savannah with rocky outcrops and surrounded by a marsh. Chobe National Park is the elephant capital of the world, the lodge is perched on the banks of the Savute Channel where you can enjoy an birds eye view of their natural habitat.
Rise early for the first of your two safari drives, you may encounter lions, wild dogs, leopards or hyenas as well as rarer species of animals such as Roan and Sable Antelope. Savute is a great area for bird lovers with over 250 species of which most are native to the area. Throughout the day there are other activities on offer such as a visit to see the San Rock Paintings or join a Zebra migration tour when in season. You will enjoy a second safari drive, sundowners are often served under the Baobab Trees before dinner is served, often al fresco under a sky full of stars.
Today you will transfer to Belmond Khwai River Lodge situated in a private concession nestled on the edge of the Khwai River bordering the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Witness Africa's famed Big Five from the floodplains of the Okavango Delta, this area is a wildlife haven. The floodplains boast large concentrations of mammals and is fantastic for year round wildlife viewings. Safaris visit the Moremi Wildlife Reserve as well as on the lodges private concession where guided safari walks and night safaris are also permitted. Evenings are spent storytelling around the campfire or stargazing
You will have the opportunity to take two safari drives today or feel free to have a sleep in and enjoy the comfort of your thatched roof suite. Swing in your hammock on your private deck and watch the wildlife pass by. Your day can be as relaxed or active as you wish with activities such as basket weaving, specialist walking safaris, spoor identification and raptor identification experiences. Specialist talks by guide Lake Makgadikgadi include subjects such as geology, hydrology and myths.
Today you will transfer by light aircraft from Belmond Khwai River Lodge to the luxurious Belmond Eagle Island Lodge. This spectacular lodge is nestled in the lush Okavango Delta which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest inland water systems in the world. The lodge's locations lends itself well for water based wildlife experiences, such as motor boat safaris or exploring the waterways by mokoro, traditional dugout canoes. Watch the sunset from the Fish Eagle bar set right on the waters edge or enjoy conversation under the stars by the open fire pit.
Today you have the opportunity to enjoy two safari experiences, if you really want to spoil yourself then take to the skies and with a unique safari by helicopter, a truly memorable experience of watching wildlife from the air. Your day can be spent lazing on your deck or in your private rim-flow plunge pool while looking out at the expanse in front of you.
Depending on your departure flight from Maun, you may have the opportunity for one last safari experience at belmond Eagle Island Lodge before transferring to your light aircraft flight to Maun where you will connect to your onward or homeward flight.
