Pousada do Parque is located on the border of the Parque Nacional Chapada dos Guimarães, 5km from the main gate and accessed by a country road. The lodge lies close to the park’s principal attractions, such as the Bridal Veil Waterfall and the Morro do São Jerônimo. It also has its own private reserve with two breathtaking waterfalls (there’s water from December to the beginning of July), a viewpoint, a cave, several easily accessed trails, and the possibility of horse riding. The small rustic inn has 8 simple yet comfortable apartments, all built from reused wood and recycled tetra pack milk cartons. Each of the rooms feature en-suites and air conditioning, whilst the lodge offers a leisure area featuring a veranda with hammocks, swimming pool, mini-gym, seated garden area, sauna, and a lounge with a fireplace. The Restaurant & Bar “Teta da Loba” offers a delicious and varied local menu.
