in the secluded private bay of Anse Petit Cour, is set amid granite boulders, mature trees and tropical gardens. Accommodation is in 40 sea-facing superior and deluxe rooms in the colonial-style villas. Rooms have king-size four-poster beds, air-conditioning, and a private balcony or verandah.
Facilities
The restaurant is on the jetty overlooking the bay and offers excellent Creole and international meals based on fresh produce. It is a scenic spot – and rather romantic at night, with the soft lights and the sound of the lapping water. Lunch may be taken at the pool grill. La Reserve has a vast swimming pool, complete with swimmer bar.
Activities
There is very good snorkelling in its reef-protected bay and a big game fishing boat for hire. The hotel offers excursions exploring the surrounding islands, including a weekly sunset cruise, an island hopping excursion to Curieuse, snorkelling at St Pierre, a guided tour of Vallee de Mai, day trip to Sister and Coco islands and boat transfers to La Digue (subject to minimum numbers).
