Our clients enjoy this property, which is perched on an impressive escarpment close to the national park (16km from Katunguru Gate).
Views of the savannah below, as well as of Lake Edward and the Rwenzori mountains behind, are stunning.

Of note is that aside from Katara functioning as a great base for the usual game-related activities that can be enjoyed in Queen Elizabeth NP, guests will find it is also very conveniently located for the Chimpanzee Habituation Experience now being offered in Kalinzu Forest Reserve.

Eight very comfortable, thatched bungalows have wooden floors, thatched roofs and canvas sides,  which can be folded for magical views of the park. The cottages are each furnished with a double bed. (Twin beds can be arranged).

The en-suite bathrooms are equipped with bath and shower.

We appreciate the strong environmentally friendly running practice of this property: there is a rainwater harvesting  system; solar water heaters are utilised and toilets are low-flush.
Lighting and electrical outlets are solar-powered, using low energy CF or LED bulbs. A saltwater pool reduces utilisation of chemicals. Food is good and service friendly.
