Nicaragua and Panama are relatively unknown Latin American countries, but they are well worth exploring, in part for this very reason. Our 12-day itinerary visits Panama City and the Panama Canal and then on to the beautiful beaches of Bocas del Toro, a Caribbean archipelago of lush vegetation and ancient traditions. In Nicaragua you can explore the colonial town of Granada, relax in volcanic beauty on Ometepe Island on Lake Nicaragua and let your hair down in San Juan del Sur, a buzzing beach town.

Fly via the USA to Panama City for a 2 night stay in the capital of this small Central American country, Spend 2 nights at The Bristol located in the heart of the financial district.
Staying at   The Bristol
Take a half day cruise on the famous Panama Canal to experience first hand this magnificent wonder of engineering Afternoon at leisure to explore this modern city and venture to the heart of the old town. Here you will find a host of charming crumbling buildings and quirky cafes.
Transfer to the domestic airport for the short flight to Bocas del Toro located off the Caribbean coast of Panama. This archipelago is home to pristine forests and white sandy beaches which can easily be explored by water taxi.
Staying at   Punta Caracol
Free time to relax on the beach and enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this unspoilt area of the Caribbean.
Take the short scenic flight to Panama City and overnight at The Bristol hotel as before.
Morning flight to the Nicaraguan capital Managua where you will be met and transfer to the colonial town of Granada.
Half-day tour of this lovely example of a Latin American colonial city. Spend the afternoon relaxing in one of the eateries or wander through the city’s streets.
