Montagne d'Ambre guided night walk

We offer two alternatives for guided night walks in the Montagne d’Ambre area: the first is to the 300ha private park of Domain de Fontenay Lodge. After dark, your guide and driver will transfer you to the property, where your permits will be arranged and where your guide will take you along the easy trails, to look for nocturnal wildlife. The other option is a walk just outside the national park entrance, so as to explore the same kind of habitat which is in the park. Both sites are exceptionally rich in herpetofauna, so expect to see a variety of chameleons, geckoes (including at least 3 species of Uroplatus geckos) and frogs. You should also see  Northern rufous mouse lemur and in summer, Greater dwarf lemur. After the walk, you will be transferred back to your accommodation for dinner.
