This delightful excursion entails a walk known as ‘tsingy tsingy’, which takes you from the back of Iharana Bush Camp into a fantastic limestone outcrop with impressive tsingy formations. Note that there is a relatively steep climb for about 30 minutes to reach the viewpoints, but it is not difficult. (Grading is moderate).
You then follow an impressive, thoughtfully designed trail including wooden walkway sections, to a viewing platform from where sundowners can be enjoyed. Afterwards, your guide will lead you carefully downhill back to the lodge. If you like, this can be combined with a quick walk around the lakeshore to seek nocturnal wildlife and a pirogue transfer back to the lodge. Be sure to pack a torch for the evening section of the outing.
