This rustic lodge is supported on stilts, in a tranquil setting by the Kinabatangan River. (The lodge is 47km from the river mouth and away from busy Sukau and is an hour's boat ride from Sandakan Jetty).
Wildlife aplenty awaits guests in the immediate vicinity of the lodge, from where wonderful boat trips can be enjoyed. Much can also be seen from the wooden walkways and the birding/wildlife watchtower. Lovely sunsets can be taken in from the communal deck.
A timber boardwalk connects the timber chalets which are neat, airy and have en-suite bathrooms. Some chalets have 2 rooms, others have 3 rooms. (Total of 30 rooms). Rainwater is collected and biodegradeable bathroom products are utilised.
The relaxed restaurant, which serves excellent meals utilising locally-sourced produce, including freshwater prawns and fish, and an assortment of tropical fruits. There is a small bar and small gift shop. Guests are highly complimentary about the efficient service and charming, friendly staff.
