Consummate safari professionals, Robin Pope Safaris have been operating for over 30 years.

In addition to their renowned walking safaris, they run four intimate camps in prime locations across the Luangwa Valley. Each has excellent guiding, warm hosting and an individual style, and is an ideal component of a classic Zambian safari circuit.

Overlooking the Luangwa and the park beyond, Nkwali Camp has six comfortable open-fronted chalets with high thatched ceilings, cool flagstone floors and open-air bathrooms. Easy access to the park via a unique safari pontoon adds to the thrill of your safari. The thatched dining room overlooks the lagoon, but meals are usually served under the trees on the deck, at the lagoon or even in the bush. The bar is built around a huge ebony tree, the perfect spot for a sundowner before a moonlit dinner.

Recently renovated, the Luangwa’s oldest camp, Nsefu, has an unrivalled location in an outstanding wildlife area. Its six white-washed rondavels have cool and elegant interiors and a shaded verandah.

Still in the Nsefu sector, Tena Tena is a remote, seasonal tented camp on wide bend of the river. The five airy tents with private verandah look onto the bush. A dressing room area separates the tent from its open-air bathroom.

And the contemporary Luangwa River Camp nestled in a grove of ancient ebonies on the banks of the Luangwa River with only 5 luxury bush suites with sunken baths.
