In the southern sector of Tarangire, Oliver’s Camp offers a classic tented experience, with 10 tents in an unspoilt wilderness area.
Night game driving and walking safaris are permitted in this remote sector of the park but must be booked in advance, so guests seeking Tarangire’s trademark elephants and baobab trees can set off on walks, open vehicle drives, and on-foot fly-camping explorations of secluded corners – always accompanied by an experienced naturalist guide.
The camp crew has been a close team for many years, which is reflected in the personal service, intimate knowledge of the park, and quality of the food. Olivers is now 100% solar powered with 24 hour electricity.
The tents are spacious and have indoor and outdoor bucket showers with a large deck for afternoon game viewing. The sheer number of returning guests is a testament to the quality of the bush experience at Oliver’s.
Little Olivers is a new camp and is about 1km downstream from Main Olivers camp. It has only 5 rooms so perfect if you are looking to take exclusive use of the camp of if you are looking for a really intimate lodge.
