French author Laurence Ink and her late husband established this lovely little seaside property close to Belo Sur Mer and Kirindy Mite National Park, in 2012.

The six bungalows (three standard and three family bungalows that have 2 bedrooms each) stand facing the beach; they are built of wood and have very comfortable bedding, with mosquito netting provided. Bathrooms have showers – note that these are cold water. Hot water bottles are provided in solar boxes outside the bungalows, with jugs. Solar energy is utilised.

Bungalows are all equipped with wardrobe, bedside tables, desk, chair, deckchairs at the front. There are rooms for guides and drivers.

There is WiFi from 14h00 – 18h00 daily. Electricity is provided 24/7

The main building has a restaurant; menu is Table d’Hote. The speciality here is seafood and Laurence is an excellent chef.
Portions are generous. For those who do not eat seafood, red meat and poultry (or vegetarian meals) can be provided so long as we are advised in advance.
Service is excellent – the staff is very friendly and helpful. All food is Halal.

There are hammocks and chaises longes in the property; in the lounge area is a library and game sets are available for guests to enjoy.
The 1,7ha property is set at a pretty white sand beach; very near to it is the Veso boat building area. Swimming is delightful in mid or high tide,
when one effectively has a natural pool.

Getting to Entremer (and therefore Belo Sur Mer and Kirindy Mite National Park) is part of the experience and adventure: from Morondava to Belo Sur Mer, the drive time is about 4 ½ hours, along dirt roads. Only the sturdiest 4x4 vehicles can be used for these transfers – there are some river
crossings which are very deep, and on occasion, resident people come to push vehicles that get stuck.

There are three ‘check points’ that have to be negotiated along the way.

Getting to Belo Sur Mer can also be achieved by means of a 2 ½ hour motorised boat transfer. However the time of low and high tides fluctuates/ changes, so the hotel has the Tidal Calendar for 1 year ahead.
Road transfers are possible from May to December.

Excursions are many and varied, so we recommend a 4-night stay here.
