This tour takes you through the ‘Golden Triangle’ on your way to discover India’s culture and wildlife. After sightseeing in Delhi and Agra, you will spend four days exploring Ranthambore, one of India’s most picturesque national parks. Here you will experience game drives and wildlife-spotting with experienced guides; Ranthambore is home to a myriad of animals, from Sloth bears to Striped hyenas, as well as tigers – India is home to more than 70% of the world’s Bengal tigers. Finish with a stop in Jaipur, full of colour and culture, bustle and buzz.

Itinerary

Arrive in Delhi after your flight from the UK. You will be transferred to your hotel to check in. You have the rest of the day to explore this vibrant city at your leisure. Our team can arrange a car for you if you would prefer to explore Delhi from the road.
Delhi
A full day of discovering Delhi, which seamlessly combines its ancient history with modern culture, creating a lively city full of historic landmarks, sacred buildings and sparkling malls, offices and entertainment complexes. This morning you will explore Old Delhi and soak in the history that surrounds you, before spending the afternoon being shown around New Delhi.
Agra
This morning travel by train from Delhi to Agra. The journey will take about two hours, leaving you with the whole day for taking in the sights of Agra. No visit to the city is complete without stopping by the iconic Taj Mahal. The world-famous mausoleum is incredibly beautiful, so make sure to keep your camera to hand.
We highly recommend a visit to the Taj Mahal again this morning, to appreciate the beauty of the surrounding areas. The early morning views here are spectacular. Later this morning, visit the UNESCO listed Fatehpur Sikri before your train transfer to Sawai Madhopur. From the station you will be transferred to your hotel, close to Ranthambore National Park. One of India’s most beautiful parks, Ranthambore is also the premier location in Rajasthan to spot the majestic tiger. A wildlife sanctuary since 1957, the park has also been part of ‘Project Tiger’ since 1974, and remains one of the best places to spot many kinds of wildlife throughout India. The park is closed from July until September.
To increase your chances of spotting tigers, it’s recommended to take part in multiple safaris. Today you will have both morning and evening game drives; Rainbow highly recommends a private drive with a knowledgeable guide to get the full experience. The park is home to over 300 different species of bird, as well as a massive variety of mammals and reptiles. Just some of the resident animals that visitors here can spot include Sambar deer, Sloth bears, Indian flying foxes, Indian false vampire bats and Jungle cats.
Another full day to roam the park and spot more fascinating wildlife. Rainbow has relationships with the best guides and drivers in Ranthambore, so we can assure our clients the best possible wildlife experience. In addition to spotting the animals of the park, keep an eye out for the more than 300 different varieties of flora that make up the lovely landscape.
Jaipur
Enjoy a last morning safari drive through the park before heading to Jaipur. India’s ‘Pink City’ is a flamboyant and striking place full of life. Check into your hotel before spending the evening at leisure.
Jaipur
Today we recommend an early start to beat the mid-morning rush around the city. The striking Amber Fort is at its best in the morning, and here you can discover intricate interiors and a fascinating history of the culture of Jaipur. After a morning of sightseeing return to the hotel to relax and unwind before heading back out into the city to explore some more. Jaipur is bursting with markets and interesting shops, and is a great place to browse for souvenirs. The Rainbow Tours team is happy to suggest and arrange any activities in the Jaipur area.
Gurugram
Enjoy a relaxing morning with breakfast at your hotel. Gurugram, just 30 kilometres from New Delhi, is a sparkling metropolis that combines bustling shops and restaurants with vibrant open spaces and parks. Enjoy your day here, perhaps with some sightseeing or shopping, before settling into your hotel.
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
