Step into Canada’s untamed north on this nine-day journey, which takes you to the remote Arctic town of Churchill at the perfect time of year to witness two of the region’s most iconic species.

From July to August, beluga whales gather in their thousands on Churchill River, offering you an extraordinary chance to see the beautiful creatures in the shallow waters where they give birth and feed. At the same time, a full-day tundra adventure brings the possibility of spotting polar bears in their natural habitat—a rare combination you won’t find in any other season or part of the world.

Your adventure begins in Toronto with a day to explore the city or take an optional trip to the awe-inspiring Niagara Falls. From there, you fly to Winnipeg before continuing north to Churchill. Over the next five days, enjoy a balanced mix of wildlife encounters and cultural experiences: kayaking with belugas, dog carting, boat trips along the Churchill River and interpretive walks through historic sites. You’ll also visit the Itsanitaq Museum, the Polar Bears International House and the Parks Canada Visitor Centre, gaining a deeper understanding of the region’s ecology and communities.

The highlight of your trip is a full-day Tundra Buggy® adventure. During it, the vast, pristine wilderness of the Churchill Wildlife Management Area comes alive, providing you with the chance to spot polar bears, Arctic foxes and a host of other wildlife wonders. After each action-packed day, you’ll return to your comfortable hotel in Churchill, surrounded by the serene Arctic landscape.

This tour is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts. By the end, you’ll have witnessed some of Canada’s most extraordinary creatures and created memories that’ll stay with you for years to come.
