Rudyard Kipling’s classic ‘The Jungle Book’ comes to life on this fantastic tour. Packed full of wildlife-spotting safari adventures, this is the perfect holiday for anyone looking to discover India’s varied natural wonders.

Itinerary

Catch your flight to India via Doha.
Tadoba
Tadoba is a two-hour drive away from Nagpur, and is home to one of the best places for spotting tigers in India - the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. The reserve is one of the least visited in India, and as such is uncrowded, peaceful and offers a more genuine wildlife experience than many of the more popular parks. The reserve is home to a large number of tigers, which makes this one of the best places to catch sight of the distinctive predator.
Tadoba
Today you will enjoy game drives through the park in the morning and the evening, increasing your chances of spotting the park’s more elusive inhabitants. Although Tadoba is famous for tigers, many more animals call this place home; during your safari drives you could spot Indian leopards, Striped hyenas, Barking deer, Indian cobras and Sloth bears, to name just a few!
Tadoba
Another full day to explore the vast expanse of Tadoba. The park stretches over more than 1,700 square kilometres of land, and the terrain is dotted with lakes, thick forest, rocky hills and verdant meadows. The variety of landscapes is part of what makes Tadoba such a special place; the plentiful water sources provide life and colour to the whole reserve.
Pench
This morning, enjoy a last private safari drive through Tadoba, perhaps spotting the resident Wild dogs or Marsh crocodiles. After breakfast, you will take the six-hour transfer to Pench National Park. Pench was the real-life inspiration for ‘The Jungle Book’, and it’s easy to picture the adventures of Balloo, Mowgli and Shere Khan. During the Pench leg of your holiday you’ll be staying at the Jamtara Wilderness Camp, sleeping in luxurious tents within the jungle.
Pench
An early start sees you venture into the park on a safari drive. Jungle cats can frequently be spotted at Pench, alongside leopards, vultures and well over 200 birds. Pench has been involved with Project Tiger since 1992, and also acts as a reserve for vultures, protecting four endangered varieties.
Pench
Pench is great for families, although safaris and reserves are unsuitable for very young children. For all visitors, it’s important to dress weather-appropriately; summers can be very warm, and so sunglasses, sun screen and hats are essential, while layers are essential in winter. Today, explore more of the park with a morning and evening game drive.
This morning, make the most of your last day in India with another morning safari drive in Pench National Park. Then transfer to Nagpur Airport for your flight back to the UK via Doha.
