Watch the awe-inspiring northern lights dance across the Arctic sky on a six-night adventure in Canada. Suitable for curious travellers with a taste for wildlife, culture and winter landscapes, this fully tailorable tour combines immersive experiences in the magical Churchill of the far north.

The trip is set for February and March, the best time of year to view the northern lights. You’ll begin in Winnipeg, where a warm welcome from a Frontiers North Interpretive Guide sets the tone for your journey. From here, a short flight carries you to Churchill, where the landscape is vast, almost pristine-looking and thrillingly remote. Although polar bears are out on the sea ice at this time of year, the tundra itself offers a chance to take in the region’s extraordinary wildlife and culture.

Each day in Churchill is carefully crafted to balance adventure with insight. You’ll tour the town and Itsanitaq Museum, hear stories from Indigenous residents and explore the forest on a snowshoe trek or optional fat bike ride. Highlights include an exclusive culinary experience at Dan’s Diner, exhilarating dog sledding adventures and northern lights-viewing evenings from secluded spots such as the Thanadelthur Lounge. The Churchill Northern Studies Centre and Rocket Range offer you a glimpse into research and innovation in this Arctic region, while Parks Canada’s Visitor Centre completes your exploration with detailed wildlife and cultural exhibits on show for all to see.

With evenings under the aurora borealis, days of interpretive excursions and a mix of activities, this trip is an excellent way to experience Canada’s north in winter. Every moment is designed to leave you inspired, informed and enchanted by one of the planet’s most striking landscapes.
