Okonjima is home to the Africat foundation. It is a research facility that rescues, researches and rehabilitated big cats back into the wild. One of the core conservation projects is the Cheetah Rehabilitation project which allows orphaned, previously captive or cats removed from the wild the opportunity to return to their natural environment. The Carnivore search on foot allows you to go out with an experienced guide to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
