One of the most popular activities here in Damaraland is the search of the elusive desert elephant. These elephant are distinctly different to the usual African elephant because they have had to adapt to their natural environment and thus the harsh elements of the desert. You set off in an adapted 4x4 vehicle in search of the elephant along with your experienced guide. Sightings of these elephants cannot be guaranteed as they are free roaming. Your guide will explain the different fauna and flora that you see as you progress your drive. This drive will typically last about 3 hours. This is not a private activity.
