After dark, your guide will collect you from your lodge and take you to a location outside the national park periphery where you will be able to seek the nocturnal wildlife which inhabits Ranomafana's upland rainforest.
The grading of these walks is easy, with the notable exception of (the specifically requested and prearranged) night walks at Kianjavato, further afield.
During night walks, most visitors see a variety of nocturnal lemurs, reptiles such as Uroplatus geckos and many tree frogs and fascinating invertebrates including the Madagascar comet (lunar) moth.
Please note however that during peak season (late August to November), you will very likely see many other tourists with their torches out looking for wildlife here at night.
