As alluded to by its name, Porini Cheetah Camp provides an excellent chance for you to enjoy marvellous sightings of big cats in their natural habitat during your Masai Mara safari holiday in Kenya.
Opened in June 2017, Porini Cheetah Camp is located in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy. It’s one of the smaller and more intimate accommodations in the Masai Mara area, part-owned and hosted by Jui and Nirmalya Banerjee. The expatriate couple from India started out as enthusiastic safari tourists and ended up moving to Kenya to live in the bush. Their presence facilitates a very personable, intimate experience. The property has particularly strong ties to local communities.

Craig’s Experience & Review
Our East Africa Travel Specialist, Craig Kaufman, visited Porini Cheetah Camp in late 2024.
“This is one of my favourite camps in the Porini portfolio.“The camp is located in a very remote area of Ol Kinyei Conservancy. Only Porini Cheetah Camp vehicles are likely to venture here, giving an extra sense of seclusion.“As it’s situated alongside/within a cluster of yellow bark acacia (fever) trees, the camp faces a large rock kopje on one side and a marsh that attracts all sorts of wildlife on the other side. This gives it a very beautiful location.“Being part-owner run and hosted, the camp is well kept, tastefully designed and efficient.”
