Overlooking a scenic valley in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, Mahali Mzuri is beautifully located for your Masai Mara safari holiday in Kenya.

Mahali Mzuri is a luxurious, high-quality camp, offering top drawer service from a team of experienced managers and caterers. If you’re seeking more of a hotel feel than that of ‘in the bush’, this could make the ideal base for your safari. Part of the Virgin Limited Edition range – owned by Sir Richard Branson – the tent design, interiors and service are first class and most impressive.

NOTE – Mahali Mzuri is temporarily closed until June 2025 for refurbishment.

Craig’s Experience & Review

Our East Africa Travel Specialist, Craig Kaufman, visited Mahali Mzuri in late 2024.

“There are many things to love about Mahali Mzuri.“The luxury lounge and bar area is beautifully decorated under canvas to reflect its surroundings, with an added dash of contemporary style. You’ll find a snug open fireplace, library of books, iPads, speaker systems, a games console and a TV/DVD player. It’s furnished with high leather bar stools that complement the wooden bar.“As for the outdoor deck and terrace, you’ll get to enjoy al fresco dining – simple and modern in style, but resulting in a clean, minimalist look. Relax in the garden furniture with cushions and further safari chairs overlooking the valley.“On top of this, the dining experience here is opulent! A new menu appears for each lunch and dinner, providing ample choice. The pan-African food is made with locally sourced produce, with liberal sprinklings of spice, as well as bush barbecues and champagne picnics. The steaks are also a highlight.”
