Outside the remote village of Bonkro, Picathartes Guest House offers one of the most rewarding and authentic community-based experiences in Ghana. Built as part of ongoing conservation efforts to protect the surrounding Picathartes Forest and the nearby Nyamebe Bepo Forest Reserve, the lodge plays an important role in supporting both local livelihoods and wildlife conservation.

Accommodation is simple but comfortable, with a growing range of en suite bungalows set within the village surroundings. New air-conditioned chalets have recently been completed, complementing the original fan-cooled rooms. All accommodation has private bathrooms with showers, and the atmosphere throughout is warm, relaxed and genuinely welcoming.
