For the more adventurous adrenalin junkies, this is both a thrilling but also educational excursion to see the endangered Great White Shark up close and personal.
Pick up from your hotel is early in the morning. You will be taken to a little town called Klein Bay which is near Hermanus and Gansbaai. Here you will be given a safety briefing before boarding your boat and being taken to Dyer Island – home to some 40,000 Cape Fur Seals, the preferred prey of a Great White Shark. Here all of your equipment is provided and you only need snorkelling experience to be able to do this activity. You are then lowered in your cage down to view these great creatures.
After your cage experience, you will have a light lunch with refreshments on board the boat. Here you can watch the seals, sharks and if in season the whales from the boat.
You then return to shore and are transferred back to your hotel. This is not a private tour.
