Rhino conservation with &Beyond Phinda Game Reserve

At &Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve you have two rhino activities to choose from. The rhino notching experience is subject to helicopter and vet availability. Witness the darting of these giants after which you will watch how the veterinary team notch the ear of the sleeping rhino. These notches are used for research and security monitoring so they are very important. 

The other activity involves tracking the rhino on foot with an expert tracker and guide. Walking in the wild has so much more to offer than driving in a 4x4 vehicle. You get to experience the smaller things that you wouldn't normally notice, such as tracks and middens. Your guide also teaches you about the different plants and trees of the area.
