Chilcabamba Lodge

Accommodation

There are just 13 rooms at Chilcabamba, which can accommodate up to 30 people. Each has a private bathroom, hot water and a wood-burning stove, while thick duvets and traditional ponchos keep you cosy on those crisp Andean nights. Deluxe, Comfort, Standard and Family Suites are available to you, with flexible bed setups from queen and twin to bunk layouts for families. Many open onto private decks with sweeping views of Cotopaxi, Rumiñahui or Pasochoa, where the ever-changing mountain light provides a constant backdrop to your stay.

Restaurant

The lodge restaurant, seating up to 30, serves hearty dishes crafted from fresh local ingredients. Expect a mix of traditional Ecuadorian flavours and international favourites, with nourishing breakfasts, relaxed lunches and comforting dinners, designed to fuel your adventures in the Andes.

"Chilcabamba Lodge is a serene but dramatic setting to enjoy nature. Overlooked by the snow-capped Cotopaxi, its gardens are filled with beautiful flora, many bird species and you can see some incredible sunsets over towards the neighbouring volcanoes. The friendly team working here are employed locally and they serve up hearty Ecuadorian specialities. It would be very easy to while away the days here with a good book - the rooms are homely and are equipped with ponchos and blankets, and their wood burners are lit every afternoon. It's perfect for getting warm and cosy after a day of exploring (or relaxing)!"
