Visit a local chocolate farm and learn about the chocolate-making process from start to finish. Did you know that the cacao bean grows in a pod and the beans are ground into a sweet white coating? Learn about the labour intensive and detailed process of making chocolate, right from the cacao pod to the chocolate bar. Sample chocolate at every point in the production process and learn about the history of chocolate. The best treat of all is the final chocolate drink you get to make at the end. The cocoa beans from that plantation are sold to a woman's cooperative which makes chocolate bars that are for sale at the end of the tour.
