Pablo Escobar Tour

Learn about one of Medellin's most famous figures and Colombia's most notorious drug lord, Pablo Escobar. Visit the Monaco Building; where Escobar was killed, some of the poorer neighbourhoods he used to frequent and his final resting place. 

In 1975, Escobar was the 7th-richest man in the world, his lucrative drug operation allowed him to have several luxurious residences, cars and even planes. He was portrayed as a Robin Hood-type hero to the population even though he faced charges for murder, bombing, money laundering and of course drug smuggling. He spent large amounts of this money on building hospitals, churches, schools and giving back to poor communities within the city.
