Valparaiso like a Native

Depart Santiago early this morning to the coastal town of Valparaiso, a road journey of approximately 1 hour 30. Drive through the beautiful Casablanca Valley before reaching the city. In Valparaiso experience the highlights of the famous port city as a 'porteño' (or a local). Visit a picturesque farmer’s markets, take a ride on the historical funiculars that ascend and descend the hilly city, admire the city's unique architecture and its colourful hills overlooking the bay. At lunchtime, head to Club Social Jota Cruz, a flagship restaurant and bar of 'Valpo' to sample the famous 'chorrillana', made from potato chips, onion, meat and a fried egg, among other flavoursome ingredients. A ride on a local tram is next, followed by a motorboat excursion around the bay. A final stop will be made before returning to Santiago at a sailor’s bar in the port.
