Hot Air Balloon over the Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert captivates its visitors with its awe inspiring views of desert plains, sculptured rock formations and dunes against a backdrop of towering volcanoes. With two feet on the ground, there’s no denying the region’s spectacular beauty, but even more impressive are the bird’s eye views from above. You will be collected from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, for a journey flying over the desert landscape in a hot air balloon.

Your aerial adventure begins at one of our dedicated launch sites. Get to know your pilot over tea and coffee, and a breakfast of freshly baked pastries and fruit, and watch the balloon inflate after a short safety briefing. Climb aboard and let yourselves be lifted lightly into the air, desert winds gently guide the leisurely flight, allowing passengers a serene and peaceful view over the impressive Atacama landscapes. Using their skills and years of experience, our pilots are able to guide the balloon to a soft landing, after which corks are popped and sparkling wine celebrates a successful flight accompanied by a light breakfast.
