By comparison to other locations in Borneo, the chalets at Deramakot offer fairly basic accommodation, but for a remote forest reserve the chalets do have the amenities one needs, with hot showers in private bathrooms, and air-conditioning. There is hotwater and electricity 24/7.
Each cabin has three rooms. The rooms are furnished with two beds and private bathroom.
There is a common living room and dining area (simply furnished), and kitchen.
Good food; the staff (mostly wives of rangers) are welcoming and make an effort for their guests with special dietary requirements.
There is no WiFi at the centre - you can purchase a prepaid simcard on arrival into Borneo, but even that has limited coverage.
