Day 1
Depart from London overnight flight to Antananarivo via Nairobi
Day 2
Antananarivo
On arrival you will be met and transferred into Antananarivo for a 1 night stay at Tamboho Hotel, in the historic Upper Town, breakfast included.

Day 3
Montagne d'Ambre National Park
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) where your private guide and driver will meet you for the journey to Joffreville (about an hour). In the afternoon, you will be taken on an introductory visit to

Montagne d'Ambre National Park. Stay 2 nights at the intimate Litchi Tree guest house, all meals included.

Located at the foot of the Amber Mountain national park, only 45 minutes from the Diego Suarez. This restored colonial house from 1902 is furnished with hand made wares from local craftsmen made of noble wood source from the Mahajanga, precious water is solar heated and staff are from Joffreville.

Day 4
You have the whole day to explore the rainforest reserve. You are likely to see Crowned and Sanfords lemurs and a variety of chameleons and geckos.
Day 5
Ankarana (Mahimasina)
Travel to Ankarana (Mahimasina) to see the petit tsingy, the sacred cave and its bats, and the Perte de la Riviere.

Continue to Ankarana Ouest to discover the grand tsingy, the Lac Vert and the spectacular caves. The trails require a reasonable level of fitness. Stay 3 nights at Iharana Bush Lodge in a bungalow with en suite facilities and enjoy fabulous views, all meals included.
Days 6 - 7
Ankarana Ouest
Two days to continue your exploration of Ankarana. Alternatively, spend the afternoon watching the light on the tsingy or the birds at the water's edge.
Day 8
Ankify
Travel overland to Ankify. En route, you can stop to visit the cocoa plantations, if you wish. Transfer by boat to Hell-Ville and by road for a 4-night stay at Sakatia Lodge on the unspoiled north coast with breakfast and dinner included.

Alternatively ask us about other options in the Nosy-Be archipelago, such as Tsarabanjina or Eden Lodge

Days 9 - 11
Enjoy the unspoiled beach, snorkelling and diving on the reef fringing the island and kayaks.

Alternatively take an excursion to the nearby island of Nosy Komba to see the habituated black lemurs or to Nosy Tanikely for a picnic on the beach.
Day 12
Antananarivo
Road and boat transfer to Nosy-Be for the Air Madagascar flight to Antananarivo. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Tamboho Hotel for a 1 night stay with breakfast.
Day 13
Depart on the Kenya Airways overnight flight to the UK via Nairobi.
