For an unforgettable honeymoon, combine exhilarating game-viewing in the Masai Mara, with relaxation on the dazzling, powder-white sand beaches of Zanzibar. These are two highly desirable destinations and we've selected two lovely properties. Kicheche Valley Camp is situated in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy and has just six large, luxury tented rooms with rugs, safari-style wardrobe and en suite bathroom with flush loo and bucket shower. You then spend the first night at romantic Zanzibar Palace Hotel in Stone Town, Zanzibar's ancient spice capital,  followed by a week of rest & relaxation time on the fine, white sandy beaches of Zanzibar.

As ever, please note that this sample itinerary is here to provide an idea of what is possible, so as with all our trips, it can be tailored to suit individual requirements.

Itinerary

Depart from London Heathrow on the overnight flight to Nairobi (please note that we can offer departures from regional airports as well)
On arrival you clear customs and be met in the arrivals hall. Transfer by road to Nairobi’s domestic airport Wilson in time for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. Met on arrival at the airstrip by the camp vehicle. Game viewing en route before checking into the amazing Kicheche Valley Camp for a three night stay in one tent with all meals, local drinks, laundry all day and night game drives, bush walks, bush breakfast park and conservancy fees included.
Day is spent traversing this wonderful conservancy where the game is plentiful and the crowds are not. Strict limits are set in the amount of visitors in the conservancy at one time and you are never going to be sharing your animal sighting with loads of other vehicles. As it is private land leased by the local communities to the trust and they are guaranteed an income they are very proactive in protecting the animals within their boundaries so as a result the animals feel safe and are more relaxed making viewing them so much more of an authentic experience
Early morning bush walk this morning before breakfast with your knowledgeable guide and an armed ranger. This is something you cannot do in the national reserve and is a wonderful way of reading the bush post – finding out what happened the night before, who passed through the area. Your guide will be on hand to point out some of the smaller and equally fascinating creatures not normally spotted from a moving vehicle. Return to camp for a hearty and well earned late breakfast before relaxing and watching the game around camp. For a bit of pampering why not try out the spa therapist and her wonderful treatments whilst you relax in the spa tent with splendid views across the valley. Afternoon and early evening game drive before returning to the camp and dinner and drinks around the camp fire.
Last of your game drives before returning to the airstrip catch your mid afternoon light aircraft flight back to Nairobi Wilson Airport. Met on arrival and road transfer back to the international airport in time for the early evening flight to Zanzibar. Here you will be met and transferred the short distance to charming Stone Town for a memorably overnight stay. Check into the wonderfully romantic Zanzibar Palace where you overnight in a suite, with breakfast included.
After breakfast you will be met by your private guide and they will lead you out a fascinating 3-hour walking tour of this most historic of places. Stone Town is the oldest section of Zanzibar and is made up of a labyrinth of winding lanes, ancient stone houses, Arabian arches, heavily carved wooden doors, circular towers, narrow latticed windows, overhanging balconies and a fascinating selection of bazaars, curio shops, art galleries and spice troves. Considered by many to be the heart of Zanzibar, Stone Town is the only functioning historical city in East Africa and remains much the same today as it was 200 years ago - alive with a bustling crowd of ‘bui bui’ veiled women, travelling tea sellers, banks of old men chatting on the ‘baraza’ (benches) of the alleys, skulking cats and laughing children. In amongst its tortuously twisting lanes is also a fascinating cross-section of history – the Portuguese Fort, the Sultan’s Palace, the old Dhow Port, the Old Slave Market, the House of Wonders, the Old Dispensary and the home of arch slaver, ‘Tippu-Tip’, to name but a few. Transfer to your lodge, Pongwe Lodge where you will spend the next six nights with dinner and breakfast included. We also recommend a trip to see the endangered Zanzibar Red Colobus monkeys at the Jozani Forest Reserve.
Days spent relaxing on the beach; partake in the island activities on offer which include: Snorkelling, diving, sand bank and island tours, fishing and romantic sunset dhow trips together.
Last chance to top up your tan before checking out of the resort and a boat transfer back to the mainland. A quick road transfer takes you back to the airport in time for the evening flight back to Nairobi which connects on to the international flight overnight to the UK.
Early morning arrival back in the UK.
