Just a 30-minute road transfer from Blantyre Airport (Chileka International Airport), the family-owned business is perfectly situated for an overnight on arrival or departure from the country. Alongside cosying up in its fully furnished en suite rooms, you’ll get to taste a unique range of artisanal foods and freshly brewed coffee. It’s a charming spot to enjoy the flavours of the season.
Accommodation
Mijn Kitchen has five fully furnished en suite rooms, each providing a mix of luxury and comfort to make you feel right at home. With air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a television alongside coffee and tea-making facilities as standard, you have everything you need to rest up between wildlife experiences.
Restaurants and Bars
Wake up to a piping hot breakfast of your choice. Whether you fancy a delicious bacon and egg jaffle or want to go all in with a mini breakfast, you can start your morning off right with Mijn Kitchen.
In addition to this, the lunch menu is equally mouth-watering. From various homemade burgers to toasties oozing with cheese and various sweet treats, there’s a dish to help satisfy your hunger.
You can also pair your breakfast and lunch with a refreshing cold drink or steamy hot drink.
Breakfast is included in the B&B rate and Lunch is available at the Mijn Kitchen Coffee Shop. However, please note that Mijn Kitchen does not provide dinners. But should you wish to head into town for an evening meal, a private taxi can be arranged (own account).

Mijn Kitchen uses locally grown coffee beans supplied by local business, ‘Bean There Coffee Malawi’. Their philosophy is centred around sustainable relationships with their producers and customers, with a core focus on quality and responsibility. This responsibility is in everything they do, from ethically sourcing to fair pricing; they endeavour to source the most environmentally friendly packaging and fully implement and promote a plastic free policy wherever possible in their business.
