Rains arrive in southern Africa and it’s very hot. In Botswana, the landscape turns green, animals disperse, it is the shoulder season. In the Kruger area, expect afternoon thundershowers.
It’s also shoulder season in Tanzania and Kenya which means it is less crowded, less costly, but with some showers – in short a period of transition.
The Indian Ocean islands are getting hotter, but you can also expect more showers. It continues to be a good time for wildlife viewing and beach holidays in Madagascar.
The rainy days are mostly gone in Sierra Leone, and over the next few months it is the best time to visit this West African country.
November is the start of summer again in Patagonia and an excellent month to go as you get the pleasant weather but high season doesn’t really get going until December.
