Spend six nights on safari in the Hwange National Park across two lodges, Bomani Tented Camp in the south east and Nehimba lodge in the north.

Hwange National Park is well known for its large herds of elephant and magnificent lion prides, the diverse wilderness of Hwange National Park supports large numbers of buffalo and antelope along with giraffe, zebra and a variety of smaller animals and birds species.

Predators such as lion, cheetah and wild dog are present too and thrive on the abundance of food in the area.

The camps are small and authentic and offer an incredible wild safari experience for the true adventurer. Your days on safari are spent on morning and afternoon game drives led by experienced guides – some of the best in Africa. All meals and drinks are included and you will be spoilt for choice.

The highlight of your safari will be your unique transfer between the 2 camps on the Elephant Express – this unique transfer safari experience, launched in 2015, is a rail transfer which is the border of Hwange National Park.

Seating 22 passengers in an open railcar – you have a chance to spot game such as kudu, wildebeest, elephant and even the big cats (to name a few) along the 2 hour journey.

Your last 3 nights are spent at Gorges Lodge situated downstream from the Victoria Falls but only a short drive away from town. This small lodge has stunning views over the Batoka gorge with the bedrooms resting on the cliff edge overlooking the rapids below. The views will simply take your breath away.

Being downstream from the Falls offers a unique and peaceful experience form the hustle and bustle of Victoria Falls Town, however still with easy access to the Falls and the tours and the many activities offered within the area including the opportunity to see the Verreaux’s Eagles that nest on the cliff’s edge.

Itinerary

Depart today on your flight to Victoria Falls Airport via Johannesburg.
On arrival into Victoria Falls, clear customs and immigration and collect your luggage. Please note that a visa is required for UK passport holders to visit Zimbabwe As you come through the arrivals hall you will be met and transferred by road to Bomani Tented Camp via Halfway House. Spend three nights here with all meals, local drinks and safari activities included.
Your days here at Bomani tented camp are spent on safari, an early morning game drive gives you the best chance of seeing wildlife as they begin their morning activities such as looking for food and water first thing in the morning, whilst the temperature is still cool. After lunch you have time to relax, whether you have a siesta or choose tohave a swim in the pool. You will then go off on your afternoon safari as the sun starts to cool down again before it sets.
Choose to go out and see the waterholes that are maintained by the lodges. The wildlife are dependent on these waterholes during the dry season and thanks to the involvement of Imvelo, these boreholes supply crucial water throughout the park. You may also choose to visit one of the schools or villages, these lodges are part of pack for a purpose, allowing travelers to pack school supplies, stationary etc to donate to the schools.
Today you will be transferred to Nehimba by using the elephant express, a restored rail car that can accommodation up to 22 passengers. the rail car is open aired allowing guests to view game from the comfort of their seats. On arrival a the lodge, you will be met and checked into your room, before having lunch and then setting off on your afternoon activity. Spend three nights at Nehimba Lodge with all meals, local drinks and safari activities included.
Spend the day discovering the northern parts of the Hwange National park, in the evening, why not try a night drive in search of all of the nocturnal animals. Guides will use filtered lights so an not to disturb the wildlife. You'll have the opportunity to see Genet Cats, Civets, Hyena and Porcupines.
Take full advantage of your time on safari today. try a walking safari and look for all the little creatures of the bush. Nehimba Lodge also has a viewing platform, which is perfect for viewing wildlife and also photography. You can also choose to visit the Mandavu Dam.
Today you check out and make your way to the Victoria Falls to stay at Ilala Lodge. Spend 3 nights here with breakfast included.
Start off with a guided tour of the falls and follow it up with a stunning sunset cruise with your favourite sun downer drinks.
Spend time in Victoria Falls, either relaxing and taking it easy, or you can also part take in the various adventure activities such as white water rafting, scenic light aircraft flights, high wire activities and helicopter flights.
today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to London via Johannesburg.
