This is a wonderful combination of a safari in Zambia's adventurous South Luangwa National Park topped off with the laid-back charm of Nkwicki, set beside the clear blue waters of Mozambique's Lake Niassa. This is definitely a honeymoon for those who love to do something very different. Stay at Kapani Lodge, where you get right up close to the African bush. There are two game activities each day in four-wheel drive, open safari vehicles. Transfer by light aircraft to the Mozambique side of Lake Malawi - Lake Niassa. Swim and snorkel in the clear blue waters of the lake, learn to sail, try out the sea kayaks, canoe or explore on foot. There are a whole host of activities included here and its a wondeful place to soak up nature and the sun shine.
Depart on overnight flight from London to Lusaka via Nairobi.
South Luangwa
On arrival take light aircraft flight to Mfuwe, South Luangwa for a 4 night stay at Kakuli Lodge with all meals meals and two game-viewing activities per day, local drinks, laundry and return Mfuwe airport transfers.
Originally the home of conservationist, Norman Carr, the lodge is in the main Mfuwe area with excellent year round game viewing. Your day starts with an early morning wake up and depart on your guided game drive in open 4x4 vehicle. Return to the lodge for brunch and some quiet time to rest and enjoy the pool or perhaps visit a local village. Meet again in the afternoon for your game drive, then return to camp for dinner and drinks around the camp fire.

Mozambique
Light aircraft flight to Lilongwe where you will clear customs and take onward flight to Likoma. On arrival into Likoma you will be met and transferred by boat to Nkwichi Lodge which is on the Mozambique side of Lake Malawi for a 7 night stay, all meals (including tea & coffee), laundry, non-motorised activities, US$5 community bed-night levy and government taxes included.
When not relaxing around the huge central pool or swimming in the clear waters of the lake, here are so many things you can do! Enjoy the full library of wildlife books, use of binoculars, board games, beach volley-ball, boules, body boards, snorkelling equipment and air-mattresses are all available on the beach for your use.
There are four modern Canadian canoes which you can take out on your own or with an experienced guide. Alternatively a low volume surf kayak and a fibre-glass racing kayak are available for the more experienced).
Fishing equipment is available or try your hand at a local method, all on 'catch and release'. Short complimentary sailing lessons are available on the 16 foot hobie cat and two smaller wooden sailing dhows. A number of lovely short walks and excursions are on offer - see a 2,000 year old baobab tree, take a 30 minute climb to a view point, see the attractive waterfall just behind the lodge (Dec-Jun), visit the organic farm and the local communities or a tour around the local churches and markets on Cobué and Likoma Island.
