The Lower Zambezi opens from approximately June to October, there are a few camps which stay open late into the green season, should you wish to enjoy this emerald jewel which comes to life with much few visitors, many young wildlife and afternoon thunderstorms.

Elephants often come up to the camps to enjoy the fruits from the trees, lodges are on the banks of the Zambezi River with excellent game viewing directly from your door step. The nature of the park enables you to enjoy guided safari drives in open 4WD vehicles, motor boat trips, canoeing, fishing and game walks.

Onto the next stop of the Zambezi, the spectacular Victoria Falls which can be a relaxing end to safari with hotels near the entrance of the Falls or lodges outside of town on the banks of the river offering a variety of onsite activities such a boat trips and island picnics.

Itinerary

Day 1 Depart from London Heathrow on over...

Depart from London Heathrow on overnight flight to Nairobi

Day 2 Lower Zambezi National Park

On arrival early morning, take onward morning flight to Lusaka. Arriving about lunch time you will be met and taken by light aircraft flight into the Lower Zambezi for short road and then boat transfer into Potato Bush Camp for a 4 night stay. Your stay is inclusive of all meals, local drinks, park fees and scheduled shared lodge activities. Activities include game drives, safari walks, boat cruise, canoeing and catch & release fishing. The lodge has a lovely river side location from which you are able to see regular game movement from your verandah.

Staying at

Day 6 Victoria Falls, Zambia

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Livingstone, via Lusaka. On arrival it is a road transfer to Waterberry Lodge which is about 45 minutes from town with a riverside location for a 3 night stay. Your stay is inclusive of all meals, local drinks and two lodge activities per day. The lodge activities include a visit to the Victoria Falls from the Zambia side, am or pm river cruise, fishing, island picnics, guided birding walks, guided village and town tours.

Day 9 Road transfer to the Livingstone ai...

Road transfer to the Livingstone airport for afternoon flight to Nairobi, to connect with return overnight flight to London Heathrow.
