This holiday is perfect for those who want to experience some of Brazil's magnificent highlights at a relaxing pace. The trip incorporates the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro and the magnificent Iguacu Falls. In Rio, see world renowned sights such as Sugar Loaf Mountain and Corcovado. Wander along beautiful Copacabana Beach or unwind by the hotel pool taking in the superb sunsets. Next take a short flight to the Iguacu Falls and stay at the beautiful colonial style Belmond Das Cataratas, ideally located within the Brazilian side of the national park. Walk from the hotel to the falls and explore at your own pace early in the morning or in the evening when the park is closed. Witness the huge volume of cascading water as it pummels against the basalt rock, generating a permanent cloud of mist which helps to create blazing rainbows. End your trip with a stay at the wonderful Casas Brancas in Buzios, the perfect relaxing ending to a holiday in Brazil.

Itinerary

Depart the UK for your daytime flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, you will be met and driven to your hotel on Copacabana Beach for the next three nights.
Today on a private tour you will visit one of Rio de Janeiro's most iconic sights - Corcovado Mountain, home to the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Take in unrivalled views out over the city's spectacular bays, islands, beaches and mountains. To ascend Corcovado Mountain, embark the Swiss cogwheel train that climbs up from 15m asl to 670m asl, winding its way through the Tijuca National Forest below.
Staying at   Windsor Miramar
For a bird's eye view, ascend Sugar Loaf Mountain today by cable car. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Rio de Janeiro's bohemian Santa Teresa neighbourhood is a delight to stroll and quite a contrast to the beachfront areas of the city. Perhaps visit Rio's charming botanical gardens or the city's Atlantic rainforest; Tijuca Forest.
Staying at   Windsor Miramar
Transfer to the airport for the short flight to the Iguacu falls, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The colonial style Das Cataratas hotel is ideally located within the Brazilian side of the national park and is surrounded by lovely gardens. You can easily walk from the hotel to the falls and explore at your own pace early in the morning or in the evening when the park is closed.
Today on a private excursion, cross the border to Argentina to experience the falls from the other side! Connected by a series of walkways there are many different vantage points to get a real feel for the falls. Feel the mist and watch rainbows form, spot butterflies and tropical birds as you meander along the paths until you reach the Devil's Throat. In the afternoon, return back to the Brazilian side.
Fly back to Rio today and then transfer by road to the chic beach resort of Buzios (approx. 2.5 hours by car). Once a simple fishing village back in the 60s, it is now one of Brazil's most upscale beach towns. A peninsula with no less than 17 beautiful beaches, the town itself is full of boutiques, restaurants, villas and luxurious pousadas. Its picturesque waterfront has earned it the nickname of "Brazil's St. Tropez".
Days at leisure to soak up the rays or perhaps take a schooner trip to visit nearby beaches and bays.
Return to Rio today to take your overnight international flight back to the UK.
