This classic itinerary takes you to Latin America's two most exciting and vibrant cities as well as the spectacular and mighty Iguazu Falls, surrounded by verdant tropical forest.

Itinerary

Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to your delightful boutique hotel, the CasaSur Palermo in the heart of the city's bohemian Palermo neighbourhood. Afternoon at leisure.
Take a morning tour of the city to orientate yourself with some of its best-known landmarks and districts such as La Boca and San Telmo as well as delving a little into the history of tango and Evita. In the evening, head to the Esquina Carlos Gardel for dinner and a sensational tango show in this very elegant venue.
The day is free for you to explore the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. Perhaps explore the newly chic neighbourhood of Palermo with its artisan galleries, boutiques and fabulous café society. Alternatively, we can arrange an optional day tour out to a ranch (estancia) in the Pampas where you can see the gaucho cowboys at work and enjoy a traditional asado barbeque lunch.
Depart Buenos Aires today to fly towards the border with Brazil and arrive at the impressive Iguazu Falls. Your base for the next two nights will be Panoramic Hotel, set close to the town of Puerto Iguazu and overlooking the Parana River.
Take a full day tour into the Iguazu National Park on the Argentine side of the falls, spending all day strolling through the walkways that meander along the 275 separate Falls making up this impressive natural landscape. End at the mighty Devil's Throat, where the walkway leads you to the very edge of the roaring falls, and look down at the thundering mass of water. An optional speedboat ride can also be taken on this day.
Depart from your hotel and cross the border into Brazil to the airport at Foz do Iguacu (an optional tour to the Brazilian side of the Falls is possible - flight times permitting) for your flight to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil's most famous and beautifully situated city. Your city base is the Windsor Miramar, overlooking the spectacular vista of Copacabana Beach.
Take a full day tour heading first through Tijuca forest towards Corcovado Peak and to the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy lunch at a typical barbeque restaurant and then, in the afternoon, head to Sugarloaf Mountain to climb the peak by cable car for some spectacular panoramic views over the city. Return to your hotel.
Today is free for you to explore the city at your leisure. We can arrange optional tours such as a full day cruise out on Guanabara Bay with lunch and swimming stops or you can simply relax by the beach at your leisure.
Depart Rio in the early evening for your return flight to the UK.
