Tarangire National Park is known for its huge number of elephant so it's a perfect place to explore everything Tanzania has to offer.
It is best in the dry season, July – November, when large herds of game, including eland, kudu, wildebeest, buffalo and elephant, are drawn to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.
The abundant lion, jackal and diverse raptors are never far away.
Rolling landscape is dotted with towering termite mounds and giant baobab trees and the noticeably thicker bush creates a wild atmosphere.
