After an early morning pickup from San Jose hotel, drive in a comfortable bus to the operations centre for a delicious, typical Costa Rican breakfast. After changing into their rafting gear, they will drive to the rafting area on the banks of the Pacuare River where a guide will give the necessary instruction on paddling and how to enjoy a safe adventure. Their hearts will pound as the raft careens into the heart of one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rainforests.
Raft through densely vegetated rainforest gorges, observe beautiful waterfalls, relax in serene pools and experience pounding rapids. Enjoy an adrenaline-packed afternoon running the Pacuare's challenging rapids, with names like ‘Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montañas’ and more. At the take-out, a short drive brings everyone back to the operations centre where a hearty and delicious lunch will be ready.
