Experience Highlights

  • Duration: 5 hours

The tour begins with a visit to Llanquihue, a town sat on the shores of a lake of the same name that was founded by a German community in the area. Upon reaching Frutillar Alto, visit the German Colonial Museum to learn about the German colonisation in the area. Enjoy time in the gardens and parks where century-old native tree species can be found, as well as majestic views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes. Continue to Puerto Octay, located on the northern side of Llanquihue Lake. This area is known for its diverse architecture that reflects the colonisation process of families who came over from Germany; many buildings here are of a European style.

Please note museums are shut on Mondays.
