Tijuca Forest

On this open air jeep excursion, discover an alternative side to Rio de Janeiro, the Tijuca Rainforest. Tijuca is is one of the world's largest urban forests and offers panoramic views over the city. After your hotel pick up, take a lesser known road behind the botanical gardens. First stop will be at the Monkey's Waterfall with a natural pool, ideal for a quick refreshing dip. Learn about the history and importance of this unique ecosystem as well as its abundant flora and fauna. The second top will be at "Chinese View" (Vista Chinesa), a charming little Chinese structure placed 380m high in the Tijuca forest and offering spectacular views over Rio. Spend some time discovering the lush forest trails on foot before returning to your hotel. Discover tropical fruit, spot monkeys, beautiful butterflies and colourful birds along the way.
