"'Of Sierra Leone's wildlife, the most interesting aspect for me was the primates. It was great seeing evidence of Chimps in the forests, and a nature enthusiasts should visit Tiway Island, which is accessible but still under-developed: we stayed in tents under shelters and on platforms - it was very well organised'."

Sierra Leone Wildlife Holidays

Sierra Leone wildlife holidays are exciting adventures that take you deep into relatively undiscovered parts of Africa. Game viewing in the lust forests involves determination but Sierra Leone has some of the highest concentrations of primates and birds in West Africa. Tiwai in the southeast is a true nature enthusiast’s paradise. This 1200-hectare island reserve has over 50km of walking trails from which to spot some of the 130 recorded bird species and eleven primate species, including chimpanzee, colobus and Diana monkeys.

We don’t currently have an example holiday or tour based on the criteria you were looking for, but please do get in contact with us and we can tell you more about your options and send you a bespoke itinerary.
